Call us before your corn starts to tassel like this.

Market conditions are ripe for another profitable season for corn. Headline® Fungicide, from BASF, had some exciting results on corn and soybeans in the last two years. At a presentation at our annual convention this March, the BASF reps reported an average 12-15 increase in bushels/acre in our area last year. Predictions are $3/bu. this year, which translates to $36-45 per acre increase. Fungicide treatment is about $9 per acre, plus $6 for application = $15 per acre. That’s a 240-300% return on investment!!!!

Anticipation of additional corn acres planted this year may mean West Central Ag-Air will bring in additional airplanes and pilots to meet the need. “We can have multiple aircraft come to our operation in a short time,” said Bryan Hauschild, in an interview with Crop Life magazine (see attached PDF). “We can even have aircraft here from as far away as Texas. Since we have reciprocity agreements between many states, the applicator does not have to wait for testing and license issuance to begin work.”

As a licensed chemical dealer, West Central Ag-Air can supply the chemical and apply it in a timely and cost-effective fashion during the early tassel stage. We are planning an informational/customer appreciation lunch in June. Watch your mailboxes for an invitation!
